Aik Moh is proud to announce the successful installation of 532 solar panels in one of her factories in Singapore, further solidifying our commitment to sustainability. This move towards renewable energy aligns with our long-term sustainability goals and positions us as a leader in the industry.
The average estimated annual energy savings annually is 280999 KWH, equivalent to powering approximately 62 HDB units every year.
The addition of these solar panels will not only reduce our carbon footprint, it would also demonstrate our dedication to promoting a cleaner and greener environment. This investment in renewable energy supports our ongoing efforts to achieve our GHG emissions targets by 2030.
Aik Moh has been awarded a bronze medal by EcoVadis for its sustainability efforts and achievements. This award recognizes our commitment to providing reliable transparent sustainability insights, which enable us to reduce risk, drive improvement and accelerate positive impact on our planet and society.

This is a significant accomplishment for the company. Nonetheless, it is only one step toward our sustainability journey. We strive to achieve Silver Badge by 2023, we have committed to reducing Scope 1 and 2 Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to FY 2022 baseline.
Aik Moh Singapore has formed a partnership with LeadChem via an acquisition to be a majority shareholder. LeadChem Singapore is currently a recycled chemicals distributor, office and warehouse at 22 Tuas View Loop, SINGAPORE 637687.
After the integration, Leadchem Singapore will continue to focus on recycling chemicals and investment plans are underway to build infrastructure systems to support this. This is an exciting new stage in our sustainability efforts and will help us reduce the number of chemicals disposed of, focus on the recycling of Chemicals, give chemicals a new life and enable a circular economy.
Through this acquisition, we accelerate Aik Moh's strategy to create a more growth-oriented portfolio, build our focus on sustainability and position the company for long-term growth and value creation. We also believe this will strengthen our position within the market and will allow us to offer more value to our customers/partners.
Aik Moh is stepping up digitisation within her processes. Since Covid-19 started, Aik Moh Singapore has been exploring the consumer market with the launch of Deras hand sanitizers and also a collaboration with Leben Wasser on WODE HOCL products. Overcoming the construction challenges faced during Covid-19, Aik Moh Singapore has completed all renovations at her 3rd factory (60 Tuas Basin Link) in Singapore, obtaining full TOP (Temporary Occupation Permit) for Phase I & II.
This new factory has an estimated plot area of 91,000 sq feet and biggest factory to date for the Aik Moh Group. Chemical operations already commenced on site which include:
- 13 x 30,000Lt tanks
- 1500 Pallet Racking
- 2 x 20,000Lt blending
- 2 x Drumming & IBC filling lines
- Iso tank and container loading bay.
This completion would add an additional 1,500k Lt Blending capacity per month to our Toll Blending & Service capacity in Singapore. Since commissioning, the factory has (on average) produced more than 1 Million Lt per month of blended products for customers.
The Factory is also equipped with a fire sprinkler system, containment and detention underground tanks which meet the current fire safety code of Singapore.
This new milestone demonstrates Aik Moh Group's commitment to investing in infrastructure and machinery to bring new value and business opportunities to our partners/customers and suppliers. Aik Moh and Leben Wasser will be collaborating to develop Leben Wasser's HOCL (WODE Brand) products in Singapore & Malaysia. The Franchise collaboration will involve both manufacturing using licensed Leben Wasser's proprietary technology and marketing of HOCL products in Singapore/Malaysia under the WODE Brand. This joint market development utilizes the strength of Leben Wasser (expertise in HOCL) and Aik Moh (in chemicals manufacturing and distribution). This is part of Aik Moh's ongoing effort to work closely with regional startups to do joint product and market developments.
WODE HOCL Machine has already been installed in Singapore and already achieved the necessary bacteria testing certification.
Leben Wasser's WODE disinfectants (Hypochlorous acid) are chemical-free and alcohol-free yet effective and fast-acting. It kills 99.9999% of bacteria in seconds and disinfects against viruses. WODE disinfectants are tested and proven to be safe for our babies and pets. WODE disinfectant is also listed on the National Environment Agency (NEA)'s interim list of products to fight Covid and is regulated by HSA classification under topical antiseptic.

Aik Moh and Singrow will be collaborating to set up an indoor Vertical Farming for planting strawberries in Batam, Indonesia. The partnership will enable Aik Moh to diversify into new industries and continue her application development into various crop protection and micronutrient chemicals for indoor farms. Pilot set-up will be completed by end-July 2021 and ready to receive the first batch of seedlings for the trials thereafter. After success pilot trial, Aik Moh will scale up into commercial farming with Singrow to plant and supply strawberries back to Singapore. More details on this expansion will be released shortly.
Singrow, an agri-tech start-up, specialises in developing indoor vertical farming technologies as well as novel crops and cultivation methods to produce temperate and exotic crops within the tropical climate of South-East Asia. Their cultivation techniques are all 100% organic, pesticide-free and rely on non-GMO crops. Presently, their core products include their patented Crystal strawberries, locally grown Japanese Komatsu spinach, Dutch cherry tomatoes, and Persian saffron.
As the COVID-19 pandemic enters its second year and its upheaval of global economies continues, Aik Moh continues our digitalisation push to bridge the “digital gap” between us and our customers. We know that “digital” is indispensable in chemical sales and distribution. We will be gradually installing all our transport vehicles with fleet management software so that our customers can track every delivery in realtime.
We will also keep our customers notified via either email or SMS of each delivery. The increased visibility and reach will allow Aik Moh to be digitally connected to our customers.

To have a unified Enterprise Resource Planning System, Aik Moh Group has adopted a common cloud-based ERP software, SAP B1. On 1st September 2020, the system is fully deployed across Aik Moh Singapore and all subsidiaries. The cloud-based software has allowed Aik Moh Group’s staff to work seamlessly from home or remotely during this CoVid-19 period.
This migration ensures that we build a future-proof go-to-market model. We will continue to redesign customer interaction, transform the channel mix, optimise the service model and align the sales operating model. This ensures that we can continue to enhance our products and services experiences for our customers/partners.
The COVID-19 pandemic has deeply impacted lives and livelihoods. While many uncertainties remain, we are committed to supporting our customers and suppliers through this challenging period. During this Phase 2 of Post Circuit Breaker of Singapore, we have taken careful and gradual steps to reopen our operations. We have also launched our own range of alcohol and water-based sanitization products (DERAS) to support the communities.
We have also taken the initiative to address the shortage and support community needs. In coordination with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Aik Moh contributed 8 tons of ethanol for the manufacture of hand sanitizers.
